June 19, 2002 - Company Update Trading Symbol: VENTURE EXCHANGE : YVS Issued and Outstanding Common Shares: 10,162,820 Exciting changes are underway at Vertigo Software in 2002. We have increased the size of our engineering team as well as our marketing team in order to handle the new challenges of upgrading and promoting our popular plug-in for Adobe Illustrator, PopArt. PopArt is an easy to use tool that allows Adobe Illustrator users to create 3D shapes from any selected outline. With intuitive depth and lighting controls, PopArt is our second most popular plug-in, and is nearly unchallenged in the graphics software marketplace in terms of features, ease of use and pricepoint. With new features like perspective control, and 'z' axis rotation control, we aim to rejuvenate interest in our entire plug-in line, not just PopArt, after its release in the fall of 2002. Our marketing team is hard at work solidifying reviewers and resellers around the world ensuring that our promotional campaign for PopArt will have as many eyes and ears as possible. Coupled with advertising booked with one of the best selling graphics magazines in the world, Computer Arts, as well as a new website launch during the same time, Vertigo is poised to take full advantage of its first product upgrade launch in four years. Vertigo began 2002 by refocusing efforts on its core business - its popular line of 3D plug-ins developed for ubiquitous desktop graphic applications, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. By the end of 2002, we aim to expand that focus to include our flagship product, Vertigo's full featured modelling and animation software for the SGI, Vertigo 9.6.
